I am having the exact same issue. APKPure will not update apps. If you remove the app it will no longer install with messages about installation failed. This seems to have broke on the last APKPure update but need to confirm with other users. I am going to try to remove APKPure and reinstall to see if that fixes it.

Update: I do have a little more information although it may not be that useful (no fix). I cleared storage for APKpure, no luck. Cleared storage, removed APKPure, rebooted, no luck. I repeated #2 above but installed the beta version of APKPure, no luck. I downloaded an APK from APKmirror and utilized airdroid to move the APK over and the APK installed just fine. This appears to be an issue with APKPure at this point in time.

Update: Installed Aptoide (using airdroid) and updating/installing of app's works like a champ. Can't say that I like Aptoide due to the ads within the app. Really appears to be an issue with APKPure.

Update: I have installed the latest Karoo software update. Still the same issues. I have also noticed that installation of apps from APKPure is very random in working. For example Komoot will not install (I was able to download the straight apk and install) but Zwift companion installed fine.

Today i installed ZwiftCompanion3.21.0 on Karoo 2 (through adb dos commands on windows 10) and it is fine.
I then installed Spotify1.40.0.apk installation was said to be successfull but it won't open : actually it just turn the screen 90 degrees :-/
So I ask to uninstall spotify but it says unknown package. the icon is still visible on karoo 2.
Any help appreciated!
An other question how to disconnect the karoo from computer? is there any adb command to type? i used adb kill-server. is it fine? adb disconnect didn't work

Hello, first of all thank you very much for your work, you are a great help, congratulations and thank you again.
I have installed the oruxmaps app on the karoo 2 without any problem and working, but the audible alarms of the app do not work (do not hear). I do not know if I need another app to make them listen or there is a problem that I do not know. Please ask for help to solve it since being able to install that third-party app was one of the causes of the purchase of karoo2.
Kind regards and thank you again.

Swapps, great app gives a sidebar for swapping between apps.
GoPro app also works brilliant giving live view and full control.

I guess it has to do with that app not being ready for a beeper. Real audios from any app will only work with an external headset. I think all android apps take for granted that our android device will have loudspeakers, not the case of k2 :-(

I have reported this to oruxmaps developer to try and see if he can implement a beeper in the app itself though i don't think that's among his priorities.

I added telegram today

I got the apk from telegram itself (https://telegram.org/apps)

Works like a charm. I mostly want it as an easy way to share files (say a gpx from my phone to the karoo)

AlpineQuest! It saved my Karoo from becoming a permanent paperweight.
Amazing mapping app, with proper high quality topo maps for mer or less the entire world, plus Aerial/Satellite maps from Google/Bing/Esri, plus many many more… Works like a charm on my Karoo 1, best spent 10 EUR in a long time!

I installed ipbike ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... oid.ipbike)
it works just as i want, i can choose which Maps i use and can customise almost everything.
Even the HW-Buttons of the Karoo2 works! ( of course you can define what each button (press, 2x press or long press) does.

It is free for 1 Million Wheel Rotations then you have to purchase it (8€ AFAIR)

Hi
Just got my Karoo2
I added a sim card (its a second sim card associated with the same number as my phone).

Installed successfully:

Spotify - works with an external BT device.
Telegram - for sending GPX files. Can also be used for phone calls (with external BT device).
Simple phone dialer - works with the telegram account to save contacts. Can make and receive phone calls. No adds. Beautiful- can now leave my phone at home!!!
APK pure
Oruxmaps + added a great offline map.
Switchr.

Hi,

I have a karoo 1 and installed simpledialer but i have an issue. Whithout any bluetooth device I can use it to call (but can't speak / no sound).
When I connect a bluetooth headset simple dialer doesn't work anymore when I call it loose the connection to the "phone network".
Does someone manage that ?
For the rest I have installed :
Amazon Store and
OsmAnd & Google drive from it
Whatsapp
SOS Sport (it send a SMS if you stay inactive)
Gesture control
APKPure
Messages and Contact
Locus map
Spotify and Deezer are working well

I control my GoPro 8 from the GoPro Quik app on the Karoo 2.
Both devices are powered off external battery packs; for the GoPro, this is to avoid exhausting its low-capacity battery. I plug the external pack into the GoPro thru the Media Mod (not a waterproof mechanism, so only for dry, safe conditions).
During a bike ride, the Karoo 2 also runs OsmAnd+ Pro for route following and ride recording. I have also installed APKpure, plus Dropbox for route and ride file copying.

Sometimes, the Karoo 2 powers itself off and on again, even early in a ride.
Sometimes, after such a Karoo 2 restart, the GoPro suffers corruption of some subsequent still pics and/or videos, and the GoPro stops responding to the Quik app on Karoo 2 or to voice commands.

Infrequently, the Quik app on Karoo 2 reports “No SD card detected”; this used to be a common error, until I replaced the GoPro’s SD card with a recommended hi speed one ((Samsung 256 EVO Select U3 A2 V30).

Is Bluetooth the problem?

I’ll have to vary some of the conditions to see if I can isolate the problem component. For example, control the camera with the the Quik app on iOS or with the GoPro remote, instead of the Quik app on Karoo 2; don’t run OsmAnd+ Pro; don’t switch between apps on the Karoo 2; power the GoPro off and on again frequently.

Occasionally powering the GoPro off and on seems to help a bit.

Has anyone else suffered such faults?
Constructive advice much appreciated.
