Sensor List
Re: Sensor List
Have done some research but can't seem to find an answer. Does anyone know if the Karoo will read HR data from a Fenix 5 that has Broadcast HR switched on? I think in theory it should. Anyone know?
Re: Sensor List
Suunto Speed/Cadence working both as Bluetooth and Ant+
Suunto Smart Sensor (HR) working. Sensor is only Bluetooth.

Re: Sensor List
yes, it works fine. You have to connect the powrmeter as an ANT+ device (not Bluetooth). When you add new sensor, you will see 2 power sensor, connect the ANT+ (normally only a number) and not Bluetooth with Assioma name.
Re: Sensor List
I have read miles of posts about if a garmin vivo active 3 heart rate syncs with the Karoo and I still am not sure. I bought the Karoo because the support team said it would, but it doesnt appear to. Is there a way to get the HR from the watch to sync to the Karoo?
Re: Sensor List
Many Garmin watches have the ability to "broadcast" HR. Whether the Karoo can pick it up or not, I'm not sure. What I think I've found with my Forerunner 235 is that it only sends the signal if you're recording, which means you're having to run both units (the watch and Karoo) in GPS mode, which (to me) seems to defeat the purpose as you're running down both batteries. I would look in your Garmin manual or contact them specifically about how to get the watch to broadcast HR. I don't believe it does it normally while running in every-day mode.Jasonjl1 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 3:19 am I have read miles of posts about if a garmin vivo active 3 heart rate syncs with the Karoo and I still am not sure. Regression in 1.95.686.3
Garmin Speed Sensor (one on my Roadbike and one on my MTB) can be found during the discovery phase, but once paired, it won't connect to the Karoo. (ID is 6 digits long instead of 5 digits) Done a factory reset from the recovery mode and one factory reset from the settings menu. No changes.
PowerTap C1, Di2 and Garmin Heartrate strap still works as it should.
Garmin Cadence sensor on my MTB, also 6 digit long ID same problem. Can be discovered, but does not connect.
Garmin Speed Sensor connects to my Edge 520 without any issues, so the sensor itself works as it should.

Re: Sensor List
I can confirm Garmin Vector 3S power/cadence pedals work. Also Wahoo Tickr Fit Heart Rate monitor works with Karoo.

Power2Max NG working fine here for months (power, cadence and balance).
Also Polar OH1 and Wahoo TickrFIT and Garmin Watch heart rate sensors.

Re: Sensor List
i have a garmin edge 305 cadence sensor on my bike and tried to sync with Karroo with no luck. Any suggestions?
Re: Sensor List
iGPSport HR60 heart rate. Connects via ANT+. Data displays on Karoo reliably. Did not test Bluetooth.
Sensor connects reliably, but actual heart rate is a bit dodgy, especially for the first 2-4 miles when comparing to Apple Watch. I wear the Apple Watch on the same arm as the HR60. Thai Apple Watch seems to be more in line with exertion. For example, the first 5% hill on my favorite ride will show readings in the 70-90 range on HR60 but 125-150 on the Apple Watch. Later in the ride they are more likely to be within 5 points of each other and more accurate.
*** Update. After 9 months of use, I am pretty happy with the HR60. still get some dropouts, but it is related to having the sensor on the right chunk of arm, rather than the electronics. Works well with Karoo v1 ***

Re: Sensor List
Unfortunately, the Lezyne Heart Rate Flow Sensor does not work with Hammerhead Karoo. Wearing the belt as I suppose I should, Add Sensor yields nothing more than wait forever. Box says Bluetooth, but apparently something else.
