Hi everyone.
I’ve bought myself a Karoo 2 for Christmas along with a few accessories which were I considered essential I.e. rubber case to protect the device; glass screen protector; slightly less essential Garmin cadence sensor and certainly not essential as I don’t care, but want accurate distance when in the woods Garmin speed sensor.

My main riding is MTB trails, and though to date my navigation has been on my phone, this hasn’t been ideal as when it’s raining I can’t use the screen, it kills the battery and I can’t charge it due to the “water detected in charging port” message.

After much research and procrastination, I have decided HH Karoo over Garmin 1040 (ridiculously expensive and I don’t need all the fitness metrics), Wahoo (not much different to the Garmin, and not sufficiently large screen for my myopic eyesight) or Bryton (same issues as Wahoo).

I’m looking forward to the unboxing, setting up and getting out on the trails with my new toy(s).

This looks like a great place for ideas and support.

I hope to see some of you about.

Andy
