Uk Map update

Post by MeranoXT » Wed Dec 04, 2019 5:30 pm

Hi all! Is there any chance to update the UK map as my existing location and surroundings shows pictures before 2012??? Some of the buildings been made 8 years ago but still doesn`t shows on map.... I know that Karoo is very powerful device but what`s the point to use Open Street maps if they not been update a few years?? That making issues with tracking and am not able to ride normal way and ask me to drive miles around.

I believe the point is that is you notice something missing you can add it.

That's pretty rubbish. I would put in a support ticket to HH via support@hammerhead.io

HH should be doing periodic updates to their maps.

So the source (https://www.openstreetmap.org/) has the updates? Then I agree something is wrong.

I never use the satellite view on the HH dash so I didn't notice right away: there are simply no overlay ways on that view, but when you switch to Cycling View, the streets are pretty much all there so the routing should be fine. If there's a routing problem, it's not one of outdated maps.
You could go ahead and ride a few of those small streets south of Snellsdale Road to add them to OSM though :)
