On a Dallas residential road, not really rough i heard the thud and looked down
And this is what i saw

Hard to see much with the low-quality picture but I recently found my device wobbled a bit when on the mount. I took it off and had to tighten the screw on the back.

Broke off at mounts collar surrounding retaining screw. "Wings" intact.
Mounting foot and tether remained attached to the Barfly, not the unit.
Head unit skidded down the street separate from shell, which cracked, and lost button covers, bezel lost a chunk
and unit banged up and abraded, including the antennas which are printed on the outside of the head unit, protected by the shell
Glass intact.
I got to it before a car did.
