Does the new update make your Covid chip buzz now?

The Covid vaccine chip inside my arm has started buzzin'. I'm not sure if it's from the K1 update or it's cousin. I have little use for Climbing or from Setup's new configuration I just want for the damn thing to decrease my consternation. Say, by not losing rides and disconnecting me from all my se...

Interesting support for this from https://hackaday.com/2019/04/29/bike-computer-exploration-uncovers-a-hidden-android/ QUOTE: When [Joshua Wise] recently took ownership of a Wahoo ELEMNT BOLT bike computer, he wondered how it worked. With impressive list of features such as Internet connectivity, GP...

Re: HELP: Retrieving a deleted FIT file

It's not you. Similar crashes have been happening with last update. no clear pattern in plaints. I lost a ride with a memory overflow and lock up a week ago. Similar search to see if it got saved somewhere, without luck. Frustrating and confusing path to restore, but it happened. My hunch is a buggy...

? Did the command pare sensors ?

Yep. I had a crash at upload and lost sensors ? back ground uninvited update? I have avoided updating until I am sure no bugs. Had to do several hard resets, with the associated joys of reconfiguration took several hard resets/wiping to regain sensors over several days with eventual restoration to b...

Yep, they do that.
Power saving and pausing are not playing well together.
I just never stop

"With Complexity Comes Great Responsibility"

I got my Moto mechanic a T-shirt that says "They All Do That" Bike forum has long tirade about latest Wahoo update I really think that all the devices need a Consumer Reports like chart of reliability. Irate Folks seem to switch brands like my Grand Pa used to switch schuls. 1 in 5 rides b...

After another useful update , where my settings disappeared, I find things on the Karoo that have left me less than cheered. Still there now are happy colored shells , at modest cost ,a rubber coat. Though Day-Glo would help me find it , and I hoped that it might float. Especially for the poor Bermu...

Good comparison of Wahoo and Garmin

Good test of the Wahoo Roam and comparison it to both the Garmin Edge 530 and Edge 830. https://youtu.be/Np1Mvcdmu3g It's what send folks to the Karoo. Dealing with update bugs and configuration on all brands is a big problem. Customizing personal favorite features and feature creep adds complexity ...

Re: charging battery

Just charging it up should be fine.
Lipo's are stored best at 70-80% charge, so are shipped that way.
The BMS on the bat is your friend

Lipo management is a study unto itself.

New software V 1030. What a sense of humor, these guys

My K1 screen looks better, and the white screen looks sharp. Lot of nice cosmetic tidying up. Crisp. Radar re-pairing is better, I often had to restart after a pause of a few minutes , before Still has the annoying Purple Lap busying the screen popping up and the on screen buttons still have to be t...

Re: Lap Function - What is it - How to Turn it off

Yes, very annoying change for many. For folks who need to segment rides, Laps are strava/fitfile visible sections of the ride. Useful for performance review/comparison. Annoying to many in the new format, though the old one was just fine. Lack of lap recall and persistence were nothing that mattered...

We instinctively add on new features and fixes. Why don’t we subtract instead? ‘Less is more’ is a hard insight to act on, it turns out. From today's Washington Post. The release notes are nice, but you don't have to be deep into TLDR land to miss connecting a lot of the dots, or follow all the lines They seem to have plenty of time to fawn over some bewildered triathlete with a video , but not a YT showing off their update work. It's not like interns are hard to...
