Re: Currant Software Aug 22, 2022 1.325.1326

It's good they got the Drawers worked out, 'cause much to my dismay , they were popping up at wrong times and hard to make just go away. The map stuff does seem useful, though it's not stuff that I use, I was hoping for a screen that says how long 'til I'll be lost and then confused. It's good the m...

Re: FAZUA engine system

Try checking them against your phone as a tie breaker. there have been a lot of discussions about GPS and phone mileage variability. They use different programs and satellites sampling rates and phones are even more variables 10% variability between devices is not unusual. I had 5 to 8 % between the...

Re: Radar Magene L508

Appears to work well per https://bikerumor.com/magene-radar-tail-light/ QUOTE: It connects to the computer via Bluetooth and ANT+, and is compatible with Magene’s own C406 PRO Computer, as well as most Garmin models, the Wahoo Bolt and Roam, and R750 and S500 models from Bryton. It can also work wit...

New update, new problems

Sensors all messed up in new update linking to Profiles. ? not connecting ?precedence issues? Real PITA if you have to trouble shoot as the screen menu buttons overlap the ABCDE buttons on touchscreen so you get a coin flip on what you toggled. Lots of circular dead ends to work around. Don't plan o...

Well, kudos on the battery stuff It has a lot of use. Tho' how Rides each have configurations leaves me a bit confused. I'm gonna keep persisting for video tutorials that bring together features and demonstrate what all They've tweaked and moved and altered and how things evolved and changed Instead...

I called it Currant software, for all the hell I'm raisin'. And to distinguish it from Steven's much more work, details an' praisin'. Oh I figgered a new icon out, first seen in this edition. It's a little square up on the left, oh damn them to perdition. It's there to pester me to update , I seem t...

Currant Software July28,2022 1.316.1287

I'm beating Stevie to the punch with word of this release. It looks like they've been busy boys and advanced things a far piece. There's new end of road big arrows, so you don't go sailing through the rough. They've tweaked lots of the weird sensor acts, and may have even done enough. They've improv...

Re: How is the new mount workin?

Were the original K1 mounts by Barfly? Barfly sez no I recall them being described that way , but can't document it. I had a broken base plate (proper term for insert) that HH is helping me with . They're being nice and helpful. The Barfly "Garmin" version is quite different. The HH socket...

Re: Using Karoo 2 for indoor training ONLY with power meter

Mine works OK using Mangene cadence and speed sensors. $25-30 for a pair on eBay. reliable stable, battery lasts >a year I had to disable the Karoo GPS, which gets distance priority otherwise. So used to doing it manually ,I haven't noticed if the new profile settings would do that for me . July7,20...

Try hard reset. repeat several times, if needed, with a pause between attempts. Sometimes they get their little doggy brain scrambled when powering up or resetting after an update. Ride data and most of config usually safe in cloud. Help at HH very very good, though never fast enough when you're fru...

Re: ? current record for broken mounts ?

When it takes me longer to get answers that are needed out of Google
I invest some time in writing these, because I'm very frugal
And have to spread frustration out , and so this is what you get
When I get questions more than answers when I use the internet.

Re: How is the new mount workin?

Failure #2 on the K1 quarter turn mount. This time the Barfly insert failed during an unremarkable street ride. Dangled from tether, with remnant of the mount still attached to K1. no damage to the K1. Just lucky this time K1 really needs a better tether, like a silicone case with attachment loop. I...

? current record for broken mounts ?

I went out for a ride today. It's pleasant after dawn. I looked down halfway to the park, Guess what I saw was gone? I knew I should just watch the road While dodging auto's fenders Instead of watching tethered toys Twirl like The Great Walenda I know I shouldn't feel too bad, I got two years out of...

Oh the Garmin's sure a Garmin , if you like their universe. And the Karoo is an option that is easy on the purse. It depends entirely on you knowing just exactly what you need For neither group will be responsive , no matter how hard that you plead For them to produce a feature, that's not there whe...

Re: Shimano forces removal of Di2 functionality from Karoo

Shimano's being dickheads, I can't say I'm surprised. At least it's nothing Franklin said, They're just that kind of guys. I really had my hopes up That they would learn to play But then I realized where I was And that thought went away. The great thing about standards Is there's lots from which to ...
