Re: Boot loop. Cannot use Karoo anymore

Also good to remember that this is a "users helping users" forum. For serious issues with your Karoo, you are encouraged to contact them directly via whatever means works. They no longer seem to patrol these forums... and rarely did anyway.

I must be on the "naughty" list again. I didn't get one. :)

Re: Updated board software

Thanks for all the behind-the-scenes work! To anyone reading this, Steve was a bit reluctant to ask, but I'm not shy. He's probably going to open up a "tip jar" soon to help defray costs for this board. If you like having a place outside of Facebook and the HH forums to discuss the Karoo, please rea...

Re: ATG Release 1.39.590.3

My two rides this weekend were largely (completely?) successful. I don't recall any issues other than what I think was a slightly off-kilter conversion of a ridden ride to a route causing some odd re-routing a couple of times. I just ignored it as the red line and the overall TbT and elevation profi...

Re: Can't add ANT+ sensors

Sorry. I was late getting out of work and wasn't able to stop at home to grab the Karoo before heading to the bike shop. Unfortunate, as one of the shop employees was just setting up a Garmin and was "finding" all kinds of sensors around the shop. Go figure. :) Hope it works for you.

ATG Release 1.39.590.3

A new software release is now available to install on your Karoo. This update adds a touchscreen lock, which disables touch input - press the lower-left and top-right hardware buttons to enter or exit lock mode. Menus and screens can be navigated using the hardware buttons as normal while the touchs...

Re: Can't add ANT+ sensors

I'm picking up my bike tonight after a service. If I can grab the Karoo before heading there, I'll see if someone has a device that I can try to at least search for...

Re: ATG Release 1.33.582.3

I'm no help at all here. Both "old" routes and one that I created and rode yesterday work fine with TbT on my Karoo. Turns and elevation profile seemed spot on, and that's saying something. One oddity with highway overpasses, but just on the elevation profile and not affecting routing. Recording als...

Re: ATG Release 1.33.582.3

I've *never* done a factory reset on my Karoo. It's sort of a personal "badge of honor" (or something). I've had TbT for all rides I've done since the last update to ATG. That might have been 3 or 4 rides for me... I'd have to double-check. The ride that didn't have TbT also didn't have a map at all...

Re: ATG Release 1.33.582.3

No idea what the "red bar" bit is about. I routed yesterday successfully again. Saturday didn't work because I had no map -- see above -- but yesterday was fine over a "known working" route. Wonder if it's something to do with new ones?

Re: ATG Release 1.33.582.3

Something's not quite right with the maps/routes process (big shock). I need to type up a "bug" report to HH but my device has become unuable or less-than-useful 3 times since the latest version was released to the ATG: 1. Rode a route two weeks ago Friday that was "unavaiable" (Queued) the followin...

Re: ATG Release 1.33.582.3

I can't get mine to boot up after the update. It sits there with the yellow circle pulsating and does nothing. Let's see if leaving it for some time helps. Edit - yes, leaving it for a few minutes saw it eventually finish the boot and start working. It seems to take a while to "wake up". I'm sure i...

Re: ATG Release 1.33.582.3

I posted late which would explain my odd "note" thinking they had duplicated version numbers. I usually post pretty quickly after getting the email, but I wonder if they go out in waves? No toes were injured...

Re: Recording without dropouts

If it's, say, family money and family members are running it, then things look a lot different fast and how that is managed is a lot less subject to accurate prediction by outsiders than otherwise. I think we've been told by insiders that it's this as opposed to VC money... I could look through som...

This is June of 2017. We still don't have anything that looks as good as these (obviously doctored) screens and images:

Re: Recording without dropouts

So why do you even bother then? Go to Garmin exclusively. I think the answer to that (for me) is that I'm stubborn and intend to hold their feet to the fire to live up to the wildly optimistic expectations and hype they sold (and continue to sell) on this device. The "roadmap" has been drastically ...

NB: No version number was provided in the email and I'm not home to check my unit. EDITED: Added Release number from the "About..." dialog in Settings. ----- A new software update is available for your Karoo. Re: ATG Release 1.30.558.3

I rode on Saturday. Really nothing to report. 2+ hours. Battery life was fine. 3 sensors (Power/Cadence from Stages, HR from Wahoo TIKR, and Speed from a Garmin Speed -- which doesn't really work). Didn't see any dropouts or problems but I didn't scroll around much. Quite a bit of traffic and cars, ...

ATG Release 1.30.558.3

We've made new battery optimizations for Karoo, which will improve the battery life when in a ride, when paused during a ride, and when Karoo is not in use. This release also includes bug fixes for some issues previously reported by Advanced Testing Group members. As always, we're excited for your f...

The question is--what will Hammerhead select for in their hiring process?
Have you applied? Sounds like they could use you! :)
