Re: Sensor List

For info I have managed to connect my smartwatch (Huawei Watch 2 Classic) as a heart rate monitor via bluetooth. It should be possible on all android based smart watches by going to the playstore and downloading 'Heart for Bluetooth'. After running the app it advertises the watch as a HRM sensor so ...

Re: Improving Karoo through the use of Android Apps

OK so I have just tried adding a GPX file created on another website other than the HH dashboard and it works fine; I presume the HH export is to blame rather than the OsmAnd installation or device settings. Has anyone succesfully exported GPX files from the HH dashboard and imported them in to OsmA...

Re: Improving Karoo through the use of Android Apps

Hi Guys. I've just sideloaded a handful of apps and am struggling to get OsmAnd to open gpx files; I get a message pop up saying "failed to open GPX data null" or something similar. I have installed dropbox and tried opening the file directly from there. I have also tried downloading the file to the...

Re: Karoo Advanced Testing Group

I made it in to the ATG group too. Due to a weeks holiday and 2 weeks out after minor surgery I haven't had a chance to try the latest ATG release but am hoping to get back on the bike by the middle of this coming week and find out what has changed. Mine has been working pretty well recently, it'll ...

Re: Bracket foot update from HH

I've got quite a bit of experience of drop and impact testing plastic components and using high speed cameras to record the events. It is quite striking to watch the plastic move that much but believe it or not that is actually not unusual. Some plastics are capable of buckling and regaining their s...

Re: Mount attachment karoo broken

Mine doesnt wiggle in any of the 3 mounts I use, one of which is the barfly that came with it.

Pleased to see the questions have been posed to the HH team, looking forward to hearing what they have to say about it in the coming days 8-)

Re: Mount attachment karoo broken

Even the cheapest aluminium injection mould tool would likely be in the region of £5k, I'd need to sell an awful lot of them to get my money back  A few people are talking about 3D printing them - my printers aren't up to the job, the parts simply wouldn't be strong enough. I know of several su...

Re: Mount attachment karoo broken

Interestingly it seems they've not even bothered with date codes, cavity ID's or recycle codes :?

If someone showed me that moulding at work I'd assume it was either a) off a prototype tool or b) from an initial tool trial, typically several months before production parts are moulded...

Re: Mount attachment karoo broken

I posted these on facebook: 2018-04-26_23h41_19.png 2018-04-27_09h25_04.png Designing plastic mouldings really isn't rocket science (I know - I do it for a living!) - there are a few 'golden rules' that, if followed, give you a pretty good chance of getting good results. Unfortunately whomever desig...

Re: Sensor List

Cateye HR-12 bluetooth heartrate chest strap works perfectly, no drop outs so far 8-)

I'm also using Wahoo speed and cadence sensors with no problem - I've connected them via bluetooth and left the ANT+ turned off, no idea if that makes any difference or not really
