Re: Downloading GPX files from dashboard

Thanks for the help, I raised a ticket and the issue is that there is no timestamp in the download which prevents it from being uploaded. They suggested to add a timestamp via https://gotoes.org/strava/Add_Timestamps_To_GPX.php and that looks like to have solved it. At least uploading to Osmand look...

Downloading GPX files from dashboard

Hi all, when I download my routes from my HH dashboard as gpx-files, these files seem to be incorrect/empty. At least, I cannot upload these to either Osmand ( "can not read GPX data null") or plotaroute.com ("unable to read the uploaded file"). Has anyone run into this as well, and knows how to sol...

Re: 1. GPS signal delayed 2. How to remove navigation bar?

When you noticed the delay, did the Karoo at that time respond swiftly and normal to swiping or using the buttons? Because I noticed the same delay yesterday just when my screens sort of "froze". Was the first time I experienced this myself, but read about it on some FB threads a while ago it someti...

Re: Experiences Waiting for GPS

Almost the same with me this morning, waiting for GPS for the majority of my ride. Only when I restarted as the screens "froze" after 2 hours, then TBT instructions were there again. Unpredictable.

Looks like this is just a link to go to Google Maps.
Tried it, and yes it is.

Re: MTB routing question.

When I open an existing route in my dashboard then I have the google sign as well in the lower left corner.

Maybe it has to do with the satellite option?

Re: Next HH live Q&A - 3 May

Their communication and support are horrible starting with the too-many-different-ways to contact them, the horrific "forum", the lack of Facebook presence, no "live chat", no "phone number", etc. The list goes on and now I'm depressed again despite my unit working well of late... My impression, as...

Hi Ian,

Welcome here. Yes, Steve is a good man, we're lucky he is around.
Wow, 72. I am only just 55. I hope I will still be riding when I'm your age.

Re: How do I edit an imported route on the Dashboard?

I do use the Dashboard for building my own routes, and with a little patience and trial and error I find it useful and easy now. However, I have never successfully edited an imported GPX file with it. The editor does all sorts of bizarre things whenever I try to alter the route - and I have given u...

How do I edit an imported route on the Dashboard?

Yesterday I downloaded a route from plotaroute.com (Paris - Brest) to my dashboard. Whenever I try to change (via 'edit') the downloaded starting point a little closer to Paris where I actually will start, the route itself will change for whatever reason.. I think I must be doing something wrong. Is...

Re: Speed

Thanks Steve,
I will take it up with HH support.
Indeed it is between Karoo and the sensor, because I found out that the problem remains with GPS off. And actually with speed measured only on GPS it fluctuates much less.

Re: Are paper maps still needed?

Jeff, to give you an example of the offline map on Karoo, here's a screenshot of a park/forest-like area close to my home: Karoo_screenshot.jpg From top to bottom is 600 meter. When I increase the area beyond 1500 meter I start to lose sight on the smaller roads and paths. So if your detour is beyon...

Re: Are paper maps still needed?

Hi Dennis, I saw these two posts on the Karoo Users Facebookpage that might give you some support with regard to water and dirt resistance of the Karoo. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10156238889403058&set=gm.1946578105386540&type=3&ifg=1 https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=101564235228...

Re: Speed

to update: I did another test drive this morning, and the 3s average speed is not an improvement. Actually it was a lot worse, now oscillating from around -6 to + 6 km/hr around actual speed as measured on my Sigma. I tried both ANT+ and/or Bluetooth protocol for the Wahoo speed sensor but that didn...

Re: disappointed in battery life

That is idd not a good performance. Knock on wood, but my battery is behaving a bit better. Drove 1hr this morning and level fell back from 80% to 73%. Wifi off, 3 datascreens and navigation with cues on, auto-pause off, backlight slider at 1/4 from the left and increased it to 1/2 somewhere midway....

Speed

Hi, on my first test ride this afternoon, with newly added Wahoo RPM Speed Sensor, I noticed that Speed was fluctuating within 1 km range, while I was cruising steadily as my Cateye registered. I thought that the GPS was possibly overruling the sensor, so I turned of GPS during the ride but that did...

Hi all

Hi everyone, my name is Simon from Breukelen, Holland. I ordered my Karoo October last year and received it yesterday. Up to now I only used a 25-year old Cateye to measure speed and ride time so this new thing is quite a major step forward in gear. It won't help me get less tired after a ride, I su...
